And breakfast at David’s…

Having enjoyed dinner at David’s so much, I thought I’d turn up for breakfast. I arrived at their place at 5am to see if the barn owl was about but had to wait until around 7 before it put in an appearance.  These shots were taken at some distance but having watched it hunt, I have a plan to get closer next time it is out.  While I was waiting, I occupied myself with the same, fairly domesticated, brown hare which has made its home in the paddock, a very happy robin and two birds which seem to like the mud and cow pats in the adjacent field – a juvenile pied wagtail and a barn swallow.

Breakfast was very good…
