Fin whale

Fin whales in the southern ocean.  The second largest cetacean, just smaller than the blue whale, the fin is known as the greyhound of the sea due to its streamlined shape and its ability to outrun even the fastest steamship.  Although endangered due to past years whaling, the fin whale is often evident on our trip into the Antarctic and south Atlantic oceans.
