‘Zealandia’ is a fenced, forested, wildlife reserve in Wellington, New Zealand, devoted to the protection of wildlife, made vulnerable by man’s introduction of animals such as mice, rats, ferrets, stoats and possums. The only endemic mammal in New Zealand is a bat.
Here at Zealandia are whitehead, tui, tuatara lizard, stitchbird, fantail and bellbird.
