The first day of snow

When I woke up this morning we had a nice covering of snow.  I hauled my camera around the quarry and found nothing to photograph except a too distant kestrel sitting on a post.  There were tracks of two or more roe deer and what must have been a single fox.  Back in the garden, one of our friendly robins obliged and then I found blackbirds and winter visitor redwings feasting on the berries along the lane.
