At RSPB Old Moor on an otherwise quiet day, a singing wren and a (singing?) grey heron were my only interesting shots of the morning, until I emerged from a hide and found this kestrel plucking and eating what appeared to be a long-tailed tit on one of the wooden sculptures. Interestingly, the raptor enjoyed even the feet, complete with ring. I wish I had noticed the ring at the time. I might have found it and identified the victim.
