Costa Rican frogs are always good subjects for challenging photography. I found only one of these in daylight – the red-eyed tree frog asleep under the leaves. I photographed the others in the dark using a long lens and a torch. The large Central American bull-frogs were in the area of Manuel Antonio, the other red-eyed tree frogs in Sarapiqui and Casa Corcovada, and the narrow-headed tree frog, also, in Sarapiqui. I find it difficult to positively identify the many different species but I am hoping I’m close to accurate with these descriptions.
