Hippopotamus

The Hippo is a massive herbivore which frequents water by day and emerges to eat grass, normally, in the dark.  This featured Hippo, complete with Yellow Billed Oxpeckers, was grazing on the banks of the Chobe river during the daytime because the weather was poor.  Those below were showing some aggression in the channels of the Okavango Delta where their practice of creating ‘Hippo Highways’ through the reed beds encourages the free flow of water which would otherwise be standing.
