Brown skuas

Brown skuas and their chicks on the Falkland Islands and South Georgia.  The brown skua rivals some big sea birds in size and is the heaviest skua.  These birds are predatory, feeding on fish while at sea, eating carrion and attacking vulnerable birds and their eggs when on land.  Here, two adult birds fight over the remains of a penguin and are often seen fighting each other.
