American black bears

American black bears collecting dead or dying salmon from the hatchery at Kake, southeastern Alaska and another on the shore of the Glendale River, Knight Inlet, British Columbia.  The black bear is the most common bear species and is omnivorous, including berries, vegetation, insects, bees, honey and fish in their diet.
