A not very productive visit to St Aiden’s.

On a short trip to RSPB St. Aiden’s, near Leeds, I was hoping for some raptor action or, maybe, a bittern flypast but it was not to be.  The highlight was a chance meeting with some old friends and some interesting conversations with fellow photographers.  However, I did enjoy watching the common or holly blue butterfly, the singing reed bunting, the raucous black-headed gulls and the kestrel enjoying the evening sun on board the old Bucyrus Erie BE 1150 Walking Dragline Excavator, known as “Oddball”.
