Yesterday, we visited Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire. Wandering through the ruins, we found evidence of a new kill with fresh blood and feathers. It wasn’t long before we spotted the culprit flying quickly around Huby’s tower and then she landed high up on a ledge. A scan with the binoculars revealed her mate sitting in a similar position round the corner. Interestingly, two members of staff had no idea they were there. How can you work at Fountains Abbey and not know you have a pair of peregrines on the tower?
