Sri Lankan monkeys

You’ll see the purple-faced leaf-monkey in the ‘Sri Lankan endemics’ post.  Here are the two rather more common varieties. The grey langur with the black face is one of the largest monkeys in Asia, and predominately, a herbivore.  The toque macaque can be found, amongst other places, scavenging around the picnic areas in Yala NP waiting to steal anything any unsuspecting tourist leaves loose in their truck.  And one making a nice silhouette across a footbridge at Hunas Falls.
