Birds of New Guinea

Our small ship cruise around the islands of New Guinea gave us few opportunities for photographing the birds of this region.  Here is an orange-fronted fruit dove, whistling kite, a grey-tailed tattler, Blyth’s hornbills, pied oriental pigeon, male and female brown-throated sunbirds, adult and juvenile singing starlings, Pacific swallow, beach and collared (with the moth) kingfishers and brahminy kites.
